In short the auction had it's scandal, one car's sale was prohibited by Courts's order, the 250 TR replica had to be taken of the auction, Bonhams offered to take the serial number stamped on the chassis off and sign a document which stated that the current owner will not make any claim to this serial number anymore, but failed to meet other reqiurements, as the result the replica could not be offered at the auction, it was not withdrawn from the owner as a Bonhams statement mentioned, the Court ordered that car could not be sold anymore and is seized, the pages describing the car had to be removed from the catalogue. Most of the low price cars sold, but most of the featured cars failed.
