Exclusive Italian Car Collection to be auctioned on July 6th 2001 in the Netherlands

An exclusive car collection including 17 Ferraris and 10 Maseratis will be auctioned by public tender in the Netherlands. Domeinen Roerende Zaken, the State Property Service Movable Goods in the Netherlands, is selling an unique collection of Motorcars, which were seized in 1993 years by the Dutch Government.
The cars can be viewed on Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 July 2001 from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., Domeinen Roerende Zaken, Zuiderweg (side road off Zeisterspoor), 3769 AP Soesterberg, Nederland.

Closing date for tenders Friday 6 July 2001 at 10.00 a.m. The highest bids will be announced on Friday 6 July 2001 at 1.00 p.m.

Four Ferraris are of special interest

Ferrari 375 America Vignale Coupe s/n 0301AL
Once owned by actor Steve McQueen

Ferrari 625/500 TRC s/n 0672MDTR
No. 0672MDTR was campaigned very successfully by its first owner, American John von Neumann, through 1957 and 1958. Later in 1958, a 250 TR V12 engine was installed and the car was raced through 1959 by Von Neumann and Richie Ginther. At one stage of 0672MDTR�s life, the V12 was replaced by a Ford V8.
Today, this 500 TR obviously has engine s/n 1437GT installed, which was originally mounted in a 250 GT PF Coupe. Already auctioned by Christie�s in May 1991, it was declared as a No-sale. Then, the bidding reached over $ 1,115 Mio.

Ferrari 250 GT SWB Comp. s/n 1813GT
This alloy bodied 250 GT Competition Berlinetta with s/n 1813GT, which was raced by Pietro Ferraro in 1960 and 1961 in events like the famous Sicilian road race � the Targa Florio.

Ferrari Meera s/n 41421
Special Ferrari 400 I Meera S was designed by Michelotti, most likely only one produced.
