Asprey Story

London, 7 June 2000

The Bond Street Association in conjunction with the Ferrari Owners’ Club, held a one-off Ferrari only concours spanning the length of Bond Street in the heart of London, during the evening of 7 June. With co-operation from Westminster City Council and the Metropolitan Police, the street was closed to through traffic from 6-00pm to 9-00pm to celebrate ”Bond Evening”. The proprietors of the exclusive retail outlets, boutiques and galleries, like Asprey & Garrard, Baccarat, Cartier, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Versace, to name but a few of the renowned names that line the street, hold an annual open evening for clients, that this year had the concours as its core theme.

Champagne courtesy of Laurent Perrier was being freely distributed at a number of the premises the length and breadth of the street, which along with various street entertainment ranging from a staged cricket match via clowns and mime artists to a steel band, made for a very convivial summer’s evening.
