In August 2007 we finished our Pebble Beach preview with the statement ... "and it's not getting cheaper".  How true ... several Califorina Spyders were auctioned for record breaking prices and in the following month after this sales several California Spyders - LWB and SWB - found new homes for similar or even higher prices. Also perfect Daytona Spyders sell now above € 1.25mio ... the market has realized that this cars are "Rolling Art" ... and it is cheap for art ... art which has not to be locked away in a vault. There where artists which were building cars for Ferrari and other makes as well ... like Vignale, Touring and Zagato ... so look out for Maserati 3500 GT Vignale Spyders, Aston Martin DB4 (Touring) and Lamborghini 350 GT (Touring) and Alfa 6C 1750 by Zagato, they are still underrated and also fun to own.

During the last view weeks we have seen a BMW 507 selling for €750.000, it came with a hardtop and with Rudge Wheels, 2 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyders for over $6mio each, a superb restored Maserati 3500 GT Vignale Spyder for over $500.000 ...  and last not least an Ferrari 500 Supefast update

Ferrari 500 Superfasts sold fast...
While Ferrari's top model of the 60's, the prestigious 500 Superfast, was a shelf warmer in dealer showrooms throughout the years 2006 and 2007, not less than 6 (!) Ferrari 500 Superfasts have changed hands in December 2007 for prices between EUR. 550-620.000.-. Only 8459SF, a late RHD Superfast was sold for less - EUR. 350.000.- (incl. buyer's prem.) at Bonhams Olympia Sale on 3rd December, 2007. It seems collector's have now realized the true value of these cars and rightly so.
