These are the twelve true
275 GTB Competition cars, as identified
by the Ferrari factory. The chassis is
type 590A, a special super lightweight
chassis, which Scaglietti skinned in a
super lightweight aluminium. It was
constructed of 028 inch alloy or about
have the thickness of the standard 275's.
The engine is a factory 213 Competizione
engine, utilizing
the 275 LM powerplant with updates and
changes. Later modified with 6 carbs,
full dry sump motor. Engine
compression ratio was 9.3:1.It used Type
130 camshafts and three Weber 40 DF1
carburetors. The block was the 2nd series standard four mount GTB block with
the external reinforcing ribs on the
sides of the casting. The motor was
designed with a special racing crankshaft
and forged racing pistons. The cams
operated needle bearing rocker arms as
used on the GTO's. In order to achieve an extremely lightweight for the car, many
engine parts were cast in electron. Wheels
are Borrani wires; 7L x 15" Front
and 7.5L x 15 Rear. Tires were
Dunlop 5.5 M15 R7 Front, and 6.00 M15 R7
Rear. The bodywork was called
"Scaglietti Berlinetta Competizione."
