Ace purchased the car in Trieste, Italy and drove it back to Vienna, Austria where he kept the car until selling it to John and Elaine Bond of Road & Track magazine. During Ace's ownership the car was painted two-tone blue. He purchased the car for $2,500 and he sold the car for the same price.
