Former Grand Prix team in ISRS

Maranello, Dezember 18, 1998

Scuderia Italia with two 333 SP
Return to Ferrari power

The former Formula 1 team Scuderia Italia will run two Ferrari 333 SP in the ISRS in 1999. The Italian team switches from the Supertourismo Championship to the more attractive sportscars. Christian Pescatori and Emanuele Moncini will share the cockpits with two amateur drivers.

Preparing Ferrari engines is not new for the Scuderia Italia’s mechanics: The team used Ferrari’s V12 power in Formula 1 in 1992.
The Scuderia Italia of steel industrialist and well known Ferrari collector Beppe Lucchini from Brescia was in F 1 from 1988 to 1992 with Dallara chassis and well known drivers such as Emanuele Pirro, Andrea de Cesaris, JJ Lehto and Pierluigi Martini.
