The second leg of this year's Tour Auto led from Beaune to Aix-les-Bains. The
weather was quit cloudy in the morning with some drizzle on the first kilometers
before the sun finally came out. The first stop in the morning was the race track in
Bresse that was already part of the Tour Auto in recent years. This is a small winding
track with no infield so the cars are driving on a huge grass field criss-cross. |

The annual gathering of Italian vehicles took place on Saturday 28 April in its regular
location of the Corn Street district of Bristol, close to the city centre. Despite rain
during the early part of the morning, and a distinctly chill wind that made it feel more
like Winter than Spring, there was a very good turnout of a wide variety of cars,

The organisers of Salon Prive held a media preview day on Friday 27 April, to present
the themes and highlights of the 2012 edition, the seventh running, of the now well

wide open space at the old Windsor Airport on New Providence Island would be a

Montagu as a tribute to his father, who one of the pioneers of motorised transport in

Today we take a look back to our visit of one of the most famous race car collections
in the world, the Simeone Foundation Museum in Philadelphia. When arriving from
the airport the journey leads to the nearby business park that is home of the rental
car parking lots and numerous car dealerships, unimpressive signposts guiding to a
brown industrial building. Just a blue sign and the name over the entrance indicate

Challenges Ferrari – Maserati”, dedicated to the competition between the two great

For the 3rd time the Belgian coastal town Knokke-Heist near Bruges hosted the
“Zoute Grand Prix”. Named after “Het Zoute”, the most exclusive part of the town, it is
organized by the Zoute Automobile Club as the brainchild of local Bentley dealer Filip
Bourgoo. His aim and that of the 100 members of the club was to create a 5-star
automotive event with the emphasis on style and luxury, something Knokke has been
associated with for a long time. A crucial role is played by the town’s charismatic

This week saw the annual edition of the prestigious Salon Privé in London. For the
second time the event was held in the Syon Park after previous years at the
Hurlington Club, the most exclusive private club in London. Whereas the last edition

Once again the Concorso d´Eleganza at the Villa D´Este featured a spectacular line-
up of cars with many highlights and a deserved winner of all major prizes. With the
pure Ferrari and the Le Mans class this years Concours was a very sportive one
compared to the recent editions. As Urs Ramseier left the concours as a consultant
this part was taken over by Simon Kidston but after one edition it is to early to say

already more than halfway through. Early at 7:00 am the competition classes sorted
by age left the parc fermé in Vichy for a 459 km tour south to Albi, the capitol of the
