The Collectors Weekend showcased mechanical watches and luxury automobiles, both vintage and new,
collectibles that go hand-in-hand, and the Shops celebrated these with a series of special events,
presentations, in-store animations and much more.
The joint venture event organized by Miami Beach Concours and Lou La Vie entrepreneur, John Temerian was
well represented over 50 cars mainly from local collectors, participants of the Miami Beach Concours and a
special guest appearance from old friend Jim Glickenhaus whom brought his latest creation Scuderia
Cameron Glickenhaus 003 and P4/5 down from New York to take part in the low key affair.
Events kicked off with a welcome cocktail party on Thursday evening. Friday included symposiums and panel
discussions featuring representatives from the watch and exotic automobile industries with lively discussions.
Saturday featured Ride & Drive events throughout the day where participants could test drive some of the
latest luxury and exotic brands.
Sunday was for the car show which took place in the north parking lot of Bal Harbour Shops. Cars from South
Florida collectors such as Nick Ekonomou of Investment Autohaus who brought out two of his classic
Porsche 356s, Alvaro Rodriguez of Parkhaus1 with a big display of vintage and modern Porsches, Craig
Brody of Investment Motor Cars who displayed a great Abarth 200P Sport Spider, Craig Zinn who sent out his
Ferrari 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spider, La Ferrari, Toyota 2000GT and Lexus LF-A along with the cars from
Curated including the Lamborghini Miura, Diablo and Countach, Jaguar XJ220 and E-Type and
Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM among others.
After some brief early morning rain showers cleared, the day was clear and dry, a perfect South Florida
Autumn afternoon, crowds grew as the cars took center stage in front of the main entrance at Bal Harbour
Shops. Surprised shoppers were delighted to see the array of exotic and collectible cars on display and the
chance to see the cars up close and mingle with owners.
The low-key show was a more relaxed affair with no judging or awards presented but rather a great showcase
for local collectors to display their cars at the renowned North Miami shopping destination where owners and
shoppers alike reported having a great time.
Special thanks to everyone who brought out their cars and to Bal Harbour Shops for hosting such a nice
