Just going up the hill were the competition models of the Ferrari range with several race cars as seen the day
before on the top lawn in front of the Breakers. Certainly not all of the entrants join in on both days as many of
them were already on their way home but beside yesterday’s BoS winning 1965 Dino 166/206 P the Pebble
Beach winning Ferrari 375 MM Speciale and one of the 375 MM Spyder were joined by the Blue-yellow 250
GTO and a 250 TR.
Further up the hill under the large palm trees was the reserved spot for the street Ferrari including 250 GT
Spyders in either Series I, Series II and California Spyder body style in addition to several Lusso, 275 GTB
and also the BoS winning 250 Europa GT Vignale from the previous day.
Traditionally the British marques are presented around the putting green as several Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin
and Jaguar were lined-up there.
Other cars of particular interest were without doubt a Maserati A6 2000 Zagato, a very early pre-production
300 SL Gullwing together with its rival from Bavaria, the BMW 507.
On the other side of the lawn the newer cars were lined up including several Bugatti Veyron, a Maserati MC12
Corsa and a Ferrari Supercar trio including 288 GTO, 288 GTO Evoluzione and F40.
After the morning coffee and a quick look around the visitors made their way to the ballroom for the lunch
break and the following award ceremony to give away even more silverware to some of the entrants who
already took a trophy the day before. During this quiet hour usually the “normal” club members have a look at
the cars taking a lot of cell phone images and having a curious look at some of the mascots of rather
unknown marques. After the lunch break the cars normally leave very swift as some of their owners might
have been keen to get an earlier flight home to avoid the blizzard that is expected to hit the New York area
Unfortunately the four days were again over way to fast but during the next days we will update our galleries
with even some more images after this first impressions to summarize the entire event from the racing to the
By that time also a full winners list should be released by Cavallino including the numerous platinum and
