After hosting their opening ceremony during the Cavallino Classic in January, Ferrari of Palm Beach, the latest official US Ferrari dealership, became fully operational in their new facility, on Okeechobee Road in Palm Beach, in early March. The brand new two storey showroom and workshop has been purpose built and decorated to the very latest Ferrari dealership standards, and is situated right next door to Maserati of Palm Beach.

The facility is an impressive glass and grey metal cladding fronted building where the central front part of the upper level projects forward with a clear glass floor, so that the undersides of the cars on display in that area can be viewed from below. Actually, walking on the glass floor to see the ground some 6 metres below you, is quite an unnerving experience first time around! Surrounding the building are red block paved parking areas, decorated with mature palm trees, as befits Palm Beach!

The front part of the ground floor is a light and airy showroom, with a high ceiling and special diffused ceiling lighting panels and spotlights to maximise the effect of the cars on display. It also features a dedicated customer lounge and waiting area, featuring luxurious Poltrona Frau leather sofas. There is also a dedicated car specification room, with the exterior colour and leather samples on the showroom wall leading to it. Here the client can get a virtual impression on the computer screen  of the way their car will look, before placing a final order for the particular colour combinations, accessories etc, which can all be added, altered or deleted through the programme software. To the rear of the showroom are the administration offices, with a corridor to the spare parts department, leading through to the equally spacious and airy workshop and service area, manned by factory trained staff, and complete with state of the art diagnostic equipment, multiple pillar lifts and a dedicated tyre fitting bay. Apart from the glass faced passenger elevator in the showroom, which incidentally provides a nice aerial view of part of the showroom, there is also a vehicle elevator accessed from the workshop to take cars to the upper showroom level and the concealed roof parking area.

The whole facility, as one might expect, is spotlessly clean, and exudes an air of light, space and grace, fully in keeping with the image of the Ferrari marque. Next time you are in the Palm Beach area it is certainly worth a visit, at 3974 Okeechobee Road.
