Paris, 17th January, 2023

On 3, 4 and 5 February, at the Salon Rétromobile in Paris, Artcurial Motorcars will present the largest French sale in the history of this discipline with estimates totalling over 80 million euros!

- 8 complete private collections, including a Facel Vega Collection at no reserve.

- Vehicles spanning the entire history of transport from a horse-drawn omnibus to Renault’s flying saucer, a concept designed in 1992 predicting the vehicle of the 24th century!

- Popular classics from the entirely original 1935 Citroën 7C Traction to the Citroën 2CV with a mileage of 140 km from new.

- Coachbuilders’ cars from the Delage D8 120 Cabriolet Vanvooren ordered new by the Aga Khan III to the most recent Mercedes Benz 500 SGS Gullwing AMG from 1984.

- Competition cars with the extraordinary Bart Rosman collection, featuring his two Bugattis, the extremely rare Bugatti 35C and the Type 43 with prestigious provenance, as well as the 1951 Ferrari 340 America Barchetta Touring, which took part in the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1951, among others. In addition, the Porsche 962 C which finished 5th at Suzuka in 1991, the Benetton Renault B195 Formula 1, Driver/Constructor World Championship winning car with Michael Schumacher in 1995 as well as the Mercedes-Benz 500 SLC Safari entered in the WRC by the factory which took part in the Bandama Rally in 1979 and 1980.

According to Matthieu Lamoure, who will co-host the three full days of spectacular sales with Hervé Poulain, and Pierre Novikoff,

Lot Overview by Estimate in Descending Order

Visitors can look forward to an array of exceptional automobiles, with illustrious histories and prestigious racing records.

Grand Touring cars such as the Bugatti 57 Atalante, one of 4 to survive built new with a sunroof, an Aston Martin DB4 Series styled as IV Vantage, a 1964 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso, certified by Ferrari Classiche.

Nearly 40 Porsche will be on offer, with half at no reserve.

23 Ferrari, including 6 at no reserve!

Supercars such as the F40, the Porsche 959, unique in pearl with Cartier red leather interior, the Porsche Carrera GT and the Mercedes Benz SLR Stirling Moss with a mileage of 8,000 km from new.

‘Barnfind’ cars including the Lamborghini Countach LP 400.

A few celebrity-owned vehicles:
The 1967 Ford Mustang driven by Jean-Paul Belmondo in the famous chase scene in the 1983 film ‘Le Marginal’ by Jacques Deray;
Jean-Paul Belmondo’s boat, the 1964 Riva Super Florida called ‘Elodie 1’, after his first wife;
Johnny Hallyday’s 1979 Porsche 911 SC, prepared by the Almeras Brothers at the singer’s request.
