The Le Mans winning Audi drivers Frank Biela and Emanuele Pirro set the
pace during the testday.
Emanuele Pirro "After the rain this morning, the track was very slippery,
which makes the set-up very important. I am happy with our basic set-up.
Tomorrow we will run on new rubber."
First appearance of the #13-P Phillips Motorsports, Inc./Knighhawk Racing
Lola/40/Nissan in the American Le Mans Series delayed.
Steven Knight "The car wasn't handling real well to begin with. About ten
minutes into the first session, we dropped a valve and blew an engine. It had
some testing time on it, but it was still a fairly new engine. Now we must
focus on our original plans to run Laguna Seca and Las Vegas and get ready
for Daytona(24hrs) next year.
