In an email from 24th
May, 2009, Uwe Ohlsen informed us as such:
"Dear webmaster,
for correction of the history of the Ferrari 212/Ghia EL
191 ex Peron, please complete that my company,than
Uwe Ohlsen Automobile, bought this Ferrari 212
Inter from Mr.Sutter Swizerland in March 1989. I decided
in 1990 to have
this historic Ferrari ground-off restored. Fa.Rosenmaier
in Margroeningen got the contract and it took work
from october 1990 til Jan 1995 when it was completed
(Ferrari Rosenmaier can confirm). In August 1996 I was
invited with my car for a TV-show in Bounes Aires/Argentina.
After the show I left my car in the showroom of the
authorized Ferrari Dealer in Bounes Aires-City til
March 1997 .After it was back transported it was
stored in my showroom in Dossenheim/Germany. My company
went in liquidation in June 1997 and the agreement with the
Bank was that this car will not be on a 'fire' auction,
because of my huge private Investment.
I spent allmost DM 1.8 mil. and sadly in that time the
whole historic
car market worldwide crashed.I did not disappear and the
car was
not seized,it was still under my permission to sell.In
dec 1999 the
car was auctioned in Gstaad/CH where it was sold. Also
it is incorrect that someone in US made the restoration
complete in 1998 .
