from the Parking lot of Hotel Domus |
1997/jun/11 - theft report in the height of $400,000.-
plus import taxes issued by Schaefer to his insurance
company |
1997/jul/17 - insurance company denies to compensate
Schaefer for the theft, Schaefer then started a law suit
at the District Court of Frankfurt (LG) |
1999/jan/21 - The District Court of Frankfurt (court of
1st instance) dismissed Schaefer’s lawsuit |
1999/mar/16 - Schaefer filed an appeal to the Higher
Regional Court of Frankfurt (OLG) (court of 2nd
instance) |
2001/oct - the Italian police secured several parts of
the car, such as the V12 engine 1893GT and body parts.
All parts were given back to Walter Schaefer |
2006/jan/11 - the Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt
(OLG) (Az.: 7 U 50/99) orders AXA Versicherung AG to pay
Walter Schaefer compensation in the amount of €
352,791,39 plus 4% interest since 18th July 1997. |
2006/mar/03 - Walter Schaefer sold the ownership rights
for 0636MDTR together with engine 1893GT, a 4-speed
gearbox, the original engine block from 0636MDTR and
body parts such as the original hood cover to Volkmar
Spielmann |
2015-2017 - A well-known individual from Parma, I ...
offered a Ferrari 500 TR as “0614MDTR” and NY title
issued for “0614MDTR” in the name of Leslie Levi,
Millerton, NY, USA This car is regarded by many
experts as the car which was stolen in 1997 while it
belonged to Walter Schaefer. On 8 June 2017 Stehle
Operations GmbH & Co KG bought this car from CERBI S.A.,
FL. Since then various law suits have been filed by
Stehle and Spielmann against each other. |
2018/jul - Original engine block from 0636MDTR sold to
Michael Stehle |

99 - both engines (unstamped
and 0636MDTR) sold to Cottingham / Roelofs |
apperantly never happened |
99 - unstamped TR engine to
John Bosch, NL |
Note:
Already in 1997, the
Italian police was able to confiscate some parts of
the car and arrest at least one individual involved in
the case. The car was obviously dismantled immediately
and the parts sold separately. The frame never
appeared again and it seems that the car will be lost
forever. |
20.. - chassis with Favero ("advertised" as
0614MDTR) ... who sold
to
Michael Stehle
20..- Insurance Company sold ownership rights to Michael
Stehle (for some time)
.. - a very long and complicated story ... Volkmar
Spielmann bought the ownership rights and some parts
from Walter Schaefer |
