| The A6G 2000 GT was both
Maserati's evolution of the A6G 1500 road
car, as well as the "Roadable"
version of the full sport racer the
A6GCS. The two litre motor was a Colombo
designed twin overhead cam engine with a
lightweight alloy block, using dual
ignition and triple Weber carburetors. A
wet sump lubrication system was used and
depending on the equipment used, the
motor developed between 120 and 150 BHP.
There were some sixty units developed in
total, spread between coachbuilders
Zagato, Frua and Allemano. Production
started in 1954 and the last A6G/54 GT
was built in 1957.
