With the closing of the racing department at the end of the 1957 season, it appeared that there would be no more 250/F1's produced by the Officine Alfieri Maserati. However, in the Spring of 1958, chassis 2532 appeared.

Juan Manuel Fangio
4th GP de l'Automobile Club de France Juan Fangio #34
It was this chassis that appeared at the last race of the 2500cc formula, not 2529 as was thought. Therefore, Fangio drove cars that appeared in both the first - 2505 - and last - 2532 - races of the formula.
