The 59th International Motor Show took place in Frankfurt am Main from 13 to 23 September 2001. Look at our
feature and you'll understand this years motto: "Cars - Pure Fascination" . More than 500 world, six European and
15 German premieres waited to be presented; under them such thoroughbreds like the all new Lamborghini
Murciélago.
Ferrari's CEO Luca di Montezemolo, Formula 1 Superstar Michael Schumacher, and the former Maserati works
driver Paul Pietsch celebrated the launch of the new Maserati Spyder F1 together with thousands of visitors at the
IAA 2001 Ferrari stand.
