michalak barchetta soft top turns garage queen into road runner
This newly constructed roof turns the 550 Barchetta from a garage
queen to a real road runner ! Summer in Germany normally can't be
compared i.e. with a summer in California, which means rain is
also a common sight in a regular German summer. Therefore
driving a 550 Barchetta for one week in July through the famous
Black Forest would have been a risk to spoil the interior....but thanks
to Bernd Michalak's genius we were able to mount the roof in less
than one minute. Compare this to the 15 minutes the regular factory
roof needs ! Of course, I did use the new roof on the German
"Autobahn" as well and recognized that 200+ km/h shoudn't be any
problem for both - the car and the roof.
This roof makes the 550 Barchetta even more thrilling !
