Nino Vaccarella reunited with the 512 he drove 1970 in Daytona
This roadbook including all stages for the Targa Florio Revival 2000, was drawn up by ex-Rallye driver Oke Moebus and Bjoern Schmidt, who drove a Fiat Punto with great excitement on Thursday to check the road for Team "Ihm".

The first stage began at the old tribunes of the original Targa Florio and ended just at Cerda village. The second stage had its start behind Cerda and was finished not before Caltavulturo. Stage three started at Scillato up and down the hills to Collesano.

Especially the road surface on the second stage was too rough and bumpy so that a start with the Ferrari 512 M seemed to be almost impossible ! But nevertheless, Frank tried it on Saturday’s practice having a lot of fun with his spouse in the passenger seat enjoying it as well, but realizing that section of the road were to bad to take the car on the road without an service car in the back making sure that no one was in the way when a sudden correction was necessary to avoid bad road sections.
